About Me

More Than Numbers

A look at my background, interests, and what drives my interest in investing.

Nik Wittenfeld

I'm Nik Wittenfeld, a finance student at Grand Canyon University with a strong interest in investing, real estate, and understanding what makes a business valuable.

What I enjoy most is looking at an opportunity and figuring out the story behind the numbers — what drives revenue, where the risks are, what could improve, and what would make an investment worth pursuing. That interest started with commercial real estate and has gradually expanded into private equity, hospitality, leisure, and other operating businesses.

A lot of what I've learned has come from building models, studying real deals, and working through investment ideas on my own. I created this portfolio to showcase that work and continue improving how I think about investments.

Outside of finance, golf has been a big part of my life. I've played since I was young, worked as a caddie at Chambers Bay, and spent time working at private clubs. Those experiences have given me an appreciation for hospitality, service, and the kinds of businesses and places people genuinely enjoy being around. I'm still early in my career, but I'm curious, competitive, and always looking for opportunities to learn from people with more experience than I do.
